Rachel Boden was born and raised in Kettering, Ohio, and grew up attending Fairmont as a member. Rachel has degrees in music, math, and English education, all of which were obtained during a period of discernment (and hiding from God’s call!). Though originally pursuing a career as a public school teacher, after her work as the Interim Children’s Ministry Coordinator in 2013, Rachel fell in love with teaching young children about God and helping them explore their faith. Rachel is thrilled with her expanding role at her home church, and can’t wait to see what different kind of education ministry God has called her to here. Rachel lives in Kettering with her dog, Josie and her cat, Olivia. In addition to her work at Fairmont, Rachel also coaches seventh and eighth grade field hockey at Van Buren Middle School. Rachel enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, playing with her dog, and all things babies and kids!
