Jesus said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me.” Here at Fairmont, we hold firm to his invitation! Our youngest worshipers are very important to us and we offer many opportunities for children and their families. From Sunday School to Vacation Bible School and all the family events in between, our goal is to make every child feel welcomed at Fairmont and encouraged in their faith journey.

Christian Education Opportunities for Children at Fairmont
Birth through Age 3
While children are always welcome to stay in worship, we have the Nursery/Toddler room for our youngest children, newborns through age 3. The Nursery/Toddler room is available from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM each Sunday.
Age 4 through Grade 5
After Children’s Time during the 10:30 AM traditional worship service, children ages 4 through grade 5 are invited to walk with their teachers to Sunday School and/or Godly Play. The PCUSA Follow Me curriculum is used for this multiage class.
There is no children’s Sunday School on special Sundays (Palm Sunday, Easter, Reformation Sunday, and Communion Sundays), so that children may join in worship with their families.
Vacation Bible School
One of our largest ministry outreach programs for children, Vacation Bible School at Fairmont is an “all-hands-on-deck” undertaking. We go all out to reach and teach the children about God’s love for them using songs, games, stories, and more. Trust us – you don’t want to miss out! VBS-Compassion-Camp-2026-Registration
