Associate Pastor for Family Ministries

Rev. Marc van Bulck 

Marc van Bulck is joining Fairmont as Associate Pastor for Family Ministries in October 2026. Marc’s ministry has been shaped by a love for the church, a commitment to building relationships, and a desire to help people of every generation grow in faith. 

Marc is known for his thoughtful approach to ministry, his ability to relate authentically to people, and his interest in helping congregations connect faith with daily life. He values collaboration and understands ministry not as the work of pastors alone, but as the shared calling of the whole people of God. 

Marc grew up in Sumter, South Carolina, where his Presbyterian roots and experiences within the church helped form his faith. His journey into ordained ministry developed through worship, Christian community, education, service, relationships, and the affirmation of others who recognized his gifts for pastoral leadership. 

Before accepting the call to Fairmont, Marc served churches in Oxford, Ohio, and Seville, Ohio. He is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston and Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. 

Marc’s partner, Whitney, works in PreK education at the University of Dayton’s Bombeck Family Learning Center. They enjoy watching movies, going out for pizza on Friday nights with Whitney’s daughter, Mara, bike riding, and playing with their dog, Bellsy.
