Discipleship & Small Groups

Lenten StudyMany opportunities to further one’s spiritual growth through classes, small groups and fellowship are provided at Fairmont. Classes are typically taught by pastors and lay leaders of Fairmont along with outside professionals. Our Connections class takes place Wednesday evenings at the church and covers a variety of topics.

Fellowship opportunities include Dayton Dragons games, canoe trips, small groups that meet in member’s homes for a monthly meal as well as numerous luncheons and coffee fellowship times following worship.  A pot-luck family meal, known as GIFT – Generations in Fellowship Together, occurs on the second Wednesday evening of each month. Along with table fellowship, persons share their “glads and sads” and pray together.  A Women’s Retreat encouraging spiritual and physical well-being, fellowship and fun is held bi-yearly at a local state park.  Women of all ages, their female friends and relatives are encouraged to attend.  Workshops, worship and gatherings of the large group make for a relaxing and reenergizing time together.
