Vicki Ramga was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Music played an important part in her life from a very young age, singing and playing the piano at church and school. She attended The Ohio State University majoring in Music Education with an emphasis on Choral Conducting. Her first opportunity to direct a church choir came during her freshman year at OSU at the small, Baptist church she attended since birth. After graduating, Vicki moved with her family to Dayton, raising her children, Elizabeth and Nathan, and serving as Director of Music at David’s United Church of Christ and later, Lutheran Church of Our Savior.
For over 30 years, Vicki taught music in a variety of schools including Dayton Public Schools, Kettering City Schools, The Miami Valley School, Oakwood City Schools, and Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation in Fishers, Indiana. She received a Master of Music degree from Capital University, studied First Steps in Music and Orff Levels at Anderson University, and loves participating in drum circles! She has experience with grades K-12 (not all at the same time!). While living in Indiana, Vicki served as assistant director of music at Geist Christian Church.
Vicki moved back to Dayton in 2016 and joined Fairmont, singing in the choir, directing the Children’s Choir, and teaching 3 year olds for a year at the preschool. She has always felt a call to Music Ministries and is so excited and surprised to accept the invitation to serve as Director of Music Ministries at Fairmont Presbyterian Church.
Vicki enjoys spending time with her three granddaughters, Olivia, Zoe, and Emmy. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and improving her cooking skills.
